Girls Aloud: At Airbrake gig

Girls Aloud the line up for this month's Harp Ice Cold Big Gig brings together some of the best home grown talent, featuring two female fronted bands that are quickly climbing to the top.
Female fronted headliners Sweet Jane, based in Dublin, have quickly become one of Ireland's most exciting and talked about rock and roll bands.
The foursome released in 2008 their debut EP ‘Blackboots & Blackhearts’ to raving reviews resulting in their 2009 signing to Reekus Records in Ireland. They have supported the likes of Glasvegas, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, A Place To Bury Strangers, The Kills, White Lies and more.
Second on the bill for this month’s concert on June 25 at in the Spring and Airbrake, Belfast, are Silhouette, a dark, alternative band fronted by the multi-talented Shauna Tohill, from Magherafelt.
The cutting edge group of musicians create finely crafted, heartfelt music through a mixture of cello, double bass and drums. They are appearing shortly after their return from a successful showcase in LA and ahead of their appearance at the Glasgowbury festival.
Nasa Assassin are bringing full throttle rock to this month’s line up. This enigmatic band from Lisburn, Carrickfergus and Banbridge make few appearances and surrender yet less information about their influences or history. They simply ask you allow them to be the soundtrack to your night next Friday.
