Girls Aloud: At Airbrake gig

Girls Aloud the line up for this month's Harp Ice Cold Big Gig brings together some of the best home grown talent, featuring two female fronted bands that are quickly climbing to the top.
Female fronted headliners Sweet Jane, based in Dublin, have quickly become one of Ireland's most exciting and talked about rock and roll bands.
The foursome released in 2008 their debut EP ‘Blackboots & Blackhearts’ to raving reviews resulting in their 2009 signing to Reekus Records in Ireland. They have supported the likes of Glasvegas, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, A Place To Bury Strangers, The Kills, White Lies and more.
Second on the bill for this month’s concert on June 25 at in the Spring and Airbrake, Belfast, are Silhouette, a dark, alternative band fronted by the multi-talented Shauna Tohill, from Magherafelt.
The cutting edge group of musicians create finely crafted, heartfelt music through a mixture of cello, double bass and drums. They are appearing shortly after their return from a successful showcase in LA and ahead of their appearance at the Glasgowbury festival.
Nasa Assassin are bringing full throttle rock to this month’s line up. This enigmatic band from Lisburn, Carrickfergus and Banbridge make few appearances and surrender yet less information about their influences or history. They simply ask you allow them to be the soundtrack to your night next Friday.

'Will Be Back Next Year' Girls Aloud

Kimberley Walsh has revealed that at some point next year Girls Aloud will 'probably get back together'.
Rumours surrounding whether there would be a GA reunion have surfaced in current months, following reports that member Nadine Coyle was jealous of Cheryl Cole's solo success but Walsh insists the girls will be getting back in the studio soon.

Walsh told Star magazine: "Fingers crossed, we'll be getting back into the studio at some point - probably next year,"
"I don't actually know what direction the music will go in. We never plan any further ahead than a few months and never have. It has always been quite an organic thing."
She continued: "We never actually thought we'd end up still here, seven years down the line. God knows where we'll end up!"

Ashley Cole ready to dump Chelsea for Real Madrid in bid to escape backlash from divorce with Girls Aloud singer Cheryl

Chelsea face a battle to keep hold of Ashley Cole who looks set to join Real Madrid after his pop star wife Cheryl filed for divorce in London, according to reports.

The Sun says that sources in Madrid claims Cole is desperate to leave Stamford Bridge as he fears he will be the subject of a backlash on the terraces following his split with the nation's sweetheart.

Girls Aloud singer Cheryl has cited 'unreasonable behaviour' for the basis of the divorce after a succession of newspapers relevation regarding Cole's infidelity.

The Sun reports that Real are hoping Chelsea will 'sympathise' with Cole's plight and let him escape England.

Nadine Coyle too Thin !

Skinny Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle has hit back at criticism she is too thin, saying: “My big weakness is a good fry-up, chocolate and mash potatoes”.The singer rubbished claims she was underweight and said how much she enjoyed junk food and that she was “100 per cent fit and healthy”.

Charmaine Yabsley, author of How To Look Good Naked, said: “As a member of a girl band, marketing to young girls, it is important she promotes a healthy weight and lifestyle.

"She has got very skinny, very quickly. She looks like a bag of bones. A loss of more than two kilos a week can lead to increased blood pressure, harm fertility and cause depression or long-term complications.”

Girls Aloud's Cheryl Cole set for fastest-selling single of 2009?

Cheryl Cole could be heading for the fastest-selling single of the year with her debut solo effort.
'Fight For This Love' sold more on its first day available (October 19) than Alexandra Burke's 'Bad Boys' did last Monday (October 12), according to the Official Charts Company.

The 'X Factor' winner's track is currently the fastest-selling single of the year, but it's believed Cole's track, taken from her debut solo album, '3 Words', out October 26, could break Burke's record.

Official Charts Company Managing Director Martin Talbot explained: "This will be second successive week of massive single sales – led by Cheryl. Her first day's sales are just amazing and put her in pole position to top the Official Singles Chart on Sunday. Together with Alexandra Burke, she is likely to set the sales standard by which everyone will be judged for the rest of the year, in the run-up to Christmas."

Cole performed 'Fight For This Love' on last week's 'X Factor' in front of around 13million viewers.

CHERYL COLE'S MARRIAGE WOES To Girls Aloud

Cheryl Cole's marriage to soccer player Ashley could be on the rocks after the Girls Aloud beauty failed to wear her wedding ring two nights running.
Cheryl Cole has sparked speculation her marriage is on the rocks after failing to wear her wedding ring two nights running.
The Girls Aloud beauty - who is married to soccer player Ashley Cole - appeared on UK TV talent show 'The X Factor' over the weekend with her wedding finger noticeably bare.
Friends now say the pair's three year marriage is in tatters and it is only a matter of time before they announce their split.
One said: "The truth is, the marriage is over, even if neither of them wants to confront it. They still have the occasional moment of fun but they both know, particularly Cheryl, that this isn't going to be forever."
Last year, Cheryl was left devastated by claims her husband had cheated on her with hairdresser Aimee Walton and while she decided to forgive him, pals say the marriage never recovered.
A source told MailOnline website: "Ashley begged her forgiveness and agreed that he would totally different. She did not want to see her marriage as a failure - and she still loved Ashley."
Cheryl - who has seen her career go from strength-to-strength since appearing as a judge on 'The X Factor' and recently saw her debut solo single 'Fight For This Love' reach number one in the UK singles charts - has previously said she doesn't fully trust her husband, saying the only people she can rely on are her mum and dogs.
She also hinted England international Ashley is not her soulmate.
She said: "I believe in soulmates, yes, but I believe you also have to work at love.
"I happen to believe your soul mate doesn't have to be your partner - your soulmate could be your best friend, your sibling, it doesn't have to be the person you marry."

Girls Aloud birthday madness, Sober Sarah Harding plots

Top caner Sarah Harding put the heavy boozing to one side and left her night out with JLS hunk Marvin Hume walking in a straight line after toasting her new career as a nightclub entrepreneur.
The Girls Aloud beauty saved herself just a few sips of champagne as she went for dinner with boyfriend Tommy Crane and Hume at the Texture Restaurant in London's Marble Arch before a nightcap at Tommy's DJ haunt Mahiki.
Her toast comes after a hellish string of meetings, putting the finishing touches on her new nightclub in London's City called Kanaloa.

Last night the star, 27, was already plotting the venues' first wild shindig, planning a joint birthday celebration for herself and bandmate Kimberley Walsh at the new city slickers' party spot later this month.
She just had a bit of champagne after a knackering week of meetings with designers
'Sarah just wanted some down time with Tommy and some mates after frantically putting the finishing touches on her nightclub', says my source.
'She just had a bit of champagne after a knackering week of meetings with designers', said the insider.
Excited about the club's opening next Tuesday, Harding told Metro: 'This felt like the perfect time and chance to inject some fun and frivolity into a place, usually consisting of suits and boots.'
'Kanaloa is going to be the perfect escape for those city boys to escape from it all and relax and have a good time in a tropical paradise within walking distance from the office but without the jet lag for once!'

The star said she was 'proud' of her latest vocation, after teaming up with Crane and owners of London's Mahiki and Whisky Mist nightclubs Nick House and Piers Adam for the project.
